Astral Definitions

Hello All,

A list of terms will be used during construction of astral science articles published by me and referenced by google search and various dictionary sites (may be updated continuously):

Astral: Relating to a supposed nonphysical realm of existence to which various psychic and paranormal phenomena are ascribed, and in which the physical human body is said to have a counterpart.

Clairvoyance: The supposed faculty of perceiving things or events in the future or beyond normal sensory contact.

Divine: Of, from, or like God or a god.

Evil: Profoundly immoral and wicked.

Hero: A person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.

Immoral: Conflicting with generally or traditionally held moral principles.

Mage: A magician or learned person.

Magic: The power of apparently influencing the course of events by using mysterious or supernatural forces.

Paranormal: Denoting events or phenomena such as telekinesis or clairvoyance that are beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding.

Plane: A level of existence, thought, or development.

Projection: The presentation of an image on a surface, especially a movie screen.

Psionic: Relating to or denoting the practical use of psychic powers or paranormal phenomena.

Psychic: Relating to or denoting faculties or phenomena that are apparently inexplicable by natural laws, especially involving telepathy or clairvoyance.

Superhero: A benevolent fictional character with superhuman powers, such as Superman.

Telekinesis: The supposed ability to move objects at a distance by mental power or other nonphysical means.

Telepathy: The supposed communication of thoughts or ideas by means other than the known senses.

Villain: (in a film, novel, or play) a character whose evil actions or motives are important to the plot.

Ward: Guard; protect.

Witch: A woman thought to have magic powers, especially evil ones, popularly depicted as wearing a black cloak and pointed hat and flying on a broomstick.

Witchcraft: The practice of magic, especially black magic; the use of spells.

Wizard: A [person] who has magical powers, especially in legends and fairy tales.
